Introduced on 14 March 2011 from Lim Chu Kang to Shenton Way as a peak-hour service. Originally 2 trips a day, later was converted to 3 trips per day with the diversion.

Re-numbered from service 175 on Sunday 27 Feb 2005. Loop service between Bukit Panjang interchange and Lim Chu Kang Rd (end).
On 28th Nov 2010, this service was amended to Lor Rusuk & Lim Chu Kang Rd, as the sector along Old Lim Chu Kang Rd had been permanently closed.
On 23rd Oct 2011, this service no longer plies at bus stops 31181 & 31189 along Old Choa Chu Kang Rd as these bus stops had been removed as part of the road widening of Old Choa Chu Kang Rd.

Re-numbered from service 160 on Sunday 27 Dec 1998. Between Admiralty Rd West terminal and Lor 1 Geylang terminal.
On Sunday 20 Nov 2005, amended to Sembawang interchange via Sembawang Vista, Sembawang Drive and Sembawang Avenue.
From Sunday 3 December 2006, extended to ply along Admiralty Drive and Canberra Road to better serve Sembawang New Town residents.

Introduced in 1999. Peak hours one-way service between Sembawang MRT station and Senoko. On Sunday 20 Nov 2005, amended to Sembawang interchange via Sembawang Drive and Sembawang Vista.

To be Introduced on 18 March 2013, as part of the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP), this service plies between Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 and Marina Boulevard during Weekdays AM Peak, and Central Boulevard to Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 during Weekdays PM Peak.

Merged from services 185 and 989 on Sunday 27 Jul 2003. Between Choa Chu Kang Int and Lor 1 Geylang Ter.
On 30th April 2006, Service 985 was amended to serve Bt Batok West Ave 5 & 7 instead of Bt Batok Rd & Bt Batok West Ave 7. The deleted sector between Bt Batok Rd & Bt Batok West Ave 7 was re-introduced as Service 985W on 15th Oct 2006 as its original route but was subsequently withdrawn on 13th Oct 2007.

Re-introduction of the original version of Service 985 route, on which the parent Service 985 route was amended to Bt Batok West Ave 5 & 7 on 30th April 2006.
Trial service for 3 months.
Service was withdrawn on Saturday 13 Oct 2007.

Introduced in 5 August 2001. Running from Choa Chu Kang to Changi Airport. No route change. On 27 July 2003, merged with 185 to become 985 and was shortened to Lorong 1 Geylang.
